This lethal concentration would be in 80,000 divided by 50 is 1,600. 1,600 times 5 minutes is not even 6 days. Somehow, over many millions of years, this really happened on Venus. Venus has an extreme greenhouse gas atmosphere. If Venus had the same atmosphere as Earth, the average temperature would be 63° C. Anything warmer on Venus is due to more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. 63° C could still be managed with proper air conditioning, but not 464° C. Another calculation approach is the outflowing gas: a hemisphere with a radius of 10 km over the supervolcano.
